My neighbor invited us to come over to their Pirate Party on Saturday, during the BYU football game. They had rented the Pirate ship that usually sits in front of Pirate Island, and had it sitting in front of the house. (pretty cool!!) We went over during half time and Captain Jack Sparrow was there! Emma was so excited, she wanted to have her picture taken with him. (It amazes me that after a trip to Disneyland, she would love pirates so much that she would want to have her picture taken with one.) I have to admit that the guy in costume was pretty darn good at being Johnny Depp, he had him pegged. The Hickman's are amazing people...she painted the mural behind them in the picture for the photo op, and she had a treasure chest full of toys and candy for the kids to pick from. She went all out, and it was a lot of fun! I found a new holiday to enjoy, I love Pirate Day!!
