Damon's 29th B-Day

Even though this is totally out of focus, I think it still conveys the over-all yumminess of the dish.
My first attempt at Monkey Bread, it was still very hot and you can see some of the candles actually melted into it, hahaha.
We saw this and of course thought of Damon. We played and he won. What else did you expect?

Our Trip to The Living Planets Aquarium
Going to check out the new South American exhibit.
Emma loves to see the sharks! It is a great tank, and she can stand on the edge and really see everything. This time she got a little scared because one of the big sharks caught her off guard as it swam right by her head when she was looking at Paul.
This cockroach is about the size of two fingers, totally gross!
I wonder how old this guy is because he is huge! I've never seen claws as large as his.
Last time we saw this octopus it was shedding, and twisting it's tentacles to remove all the dead skin. I'd never seen an octopus that active, but today he was asleep.
This scares me a little bit... but she's a cute captain!
A very cool sea snake, but it still creeps me out a bit.
My favorite animal!! They have the best sea horse exhibit and I just love to sit and watch them.
Our little captain
Playing in the coral reef
Some very big South American fish.
A very big turtle that Emma loved. It just swam around, and around and she just watched it.

Bread!!!

Pantry Secrets- How to Make Bread From Start to Finish in Just 1 Hour!
There is something I want to share with everyone. Some of you have probably heard of this already, but for those who haven't...this is a method for making bread, start to finish, in 1 hour! My aunt just learned about it through a relief society night, and introduced me to it. Its a method created by an lds mom and she's teaching classes for relief society and classes from her home if people are interested. You may also purchase the dvd, which demonstrates how to use the basic dough recipe, at Maceys for around $15. It is a basic dough recipe that you can use for many different things such as: loaves, rolls/buns, breadsticks, pizzas, main dish braids, dessert breads and braids, cinnamon rolls and twists, and hamburger/hotdog buns. And many many more things, the limit is your imagination! It is inexpensive, easy, fast, yummy, and very healthy for you! For more information you can check out their website at www.pantrysecrets.net or their blog at www.howtomakebread.blogspot.com Check it out, it is truly amazing and wonderful! Love, Bre

Emma's New Play Room

always curious
making piggy noises along with the piggy bank (this is one of my favorite pictures!)
sing along with the piggy bank
pushing piggy's nose
helping Mickey onto his seat
Have to make sure his tail is just right!
playing and learning...
so many switches to play with...
some of the cute stuff that came with Em's play room set...
showing Mickey how to draw a mickey, hahaha
I think Emma really likes her new play room setup. We de-junked it by putting away all of the baby toys she doesn't use. It 's very nice to have a place for everything and storage so it can look clean quickly! We love toys r us and their awesome sales, otherwise we would not have given this as a gift. Now our little princess is right at home. :)

Special Birthday Breakfast

So this is Emma's birthday breakfast of oatmeal with sprinkles. She seemed to think it was something pretty special! I can't believe that she is two today! It's incredible to see how much she has grown and changed in that short time. We don't have a problem with blowing out candles this year, instead of working on that we've learned the happy birthday song. Em's a great little singer and it's just been "happy birthday" all morning long!
