A Demand

Danya and Bryndee, read the Twilight Series - or else! You have till December 12 . . . I'm watching.

The Host Conquered

Ok, I finished. I really did like the book. Meyer manages to show you all the options but keep you guessing which she'll choose. I loved that I was never sure where she would take me. It gives great examples of human emotion and delves into what it means to be human. I think it's a must read for the summer. It looks big... but trust me, its a fast read. As enjoyable as the Twilight series, but more satisfying for the adult reader. So get to it, I need people I can talk with about it!

An Ode to Motherhood

This is so hysterical and true! I can remember my Mom saying many of these things to me, and now I say some to Emma. Everyday I think a few more are added to the growing list. ha ha!! Hope you enjoy and that it makes you laugh. Actually, there is a realisation that accompanies the viewing of this video . . . It Never Ends . . . I'm feeling a little tired now, lol! A very good glimpse for all those pondering motherhood, but more comical for those already fighting the good fight.

A Joyful Endulgence

Well, I've made it about half way through so far. I really am enjoying the book. I've been having a hard time switching back and forth between reading Twilight with Paul and the Host. They are so different, which actually is very refreshing. I love reading with him, but can't wait to start on my own book. I would recommend reading it, especially to anyone who is interested in sci-fi. Meyer has such a vivid imagination. It's difficult not to get caught up in her imaginary world. I'll let you know what I think when I'm finished in a while. I don't think it'll be long...

New Apostle Song

This is a hysterical way to learn the new Presidency and Apostles. It's really cute!!

National Anthem

My Mom sent me this video a few days ago. These are 5 sisters ranging from 6 - 9 years old. This was their first public event at the Texas Tech vs. Texas basketball game. They are awesome. It's not hard to hear why.

Happy Mother's Day!

Here is a big I love you to the most wonderful Mom in the world, mine! I wish I could have been there with you today to celebrate this great holiday. You really are the best! Thank you for all of your love and support. Not only that, but for being the most fabulous and loved grandma! Emma misses you a lot. I showed her the picture I'm using in the alphabet book of you, and she immediately started smiling. I hope you had a wonderful day. I wish all the rest of the special women in my life a Happy Mother's Day, all of my dear grandmothers, aunts, and cousins! A special extra Happy for Ashley as she celebrates for the first time, we're all so proud of you! (Justin can celebrate soon enough-haha)

ER Drama

Well, we ended up in Emergency, again. Around 2:00 this afternoon I picked up Emma and realised she was very warm, actually hot. I took her temp. and it registered 102.4 but she was squeezing her bottom and I knew I was getting a true reading. So, we tried again and this time it read 104.2. Off we went. We got there about 2:30. A urine test and several hours later we were finally on our way to the pharmacy. We got her home a little after 6. It never fails to amaze me, things that don't matter usually take moments and things that are important take forever. Drives me crazy! At least we did see some interesting things while waiting in the ER lobby for an hour. That can be a really scary place! With medicine, Pedialyte and a popsicle she's already feeling much better. And go figure she said "BLUE" today. She's always such a good little girl, even when she's feeling totally punk. All of the nursing staff and even the docs can't help but comment on what a cutie she is. We know we're so lucky to have such a doll baby.

Grandma Will Be Missed

Paul's Grandma Jacquart passed on Tuesday. We're just happy to know she passed in her sleep. We attended the funeral yesterday morning in Orem at the Sundberg Olpen Mortuary followed by the grave side service at the Orem Cemetery. It was a beautiful day and the flowers were gorgeous. All of the family was there except cousin Nathan who is currently in Canada. I'm sure she would have been very pleased! It was wonderful to see all of the family. It's been up to three years for some of us. We both enjoyed spending the day with everyone and watching slides of Grandpa and Grandma's adventures. We just wish it was for happier circumstances!

Iron Man Fans

Paul some how managed to get tickets from a wheel at the Megaplex Theater last night. He called me at 9:20 and said "Can you get here by 10:10? I've got tickets to Iron Man!" Emma and I flew there! (all speed laws were obeyed) I was so excited and it was awesome! Emma was fabulous as usual. There was a guy sitting next to me that watched her throughout the movie. He couldn't believe how good she was, and laughed when she started head banging to the Iron Man song. I would recommend to see it. Probably not for young kids, pretty shoot-em-up violent (but they do deserve it!). Other than that really fun! I hope we can see it again soon!

Pudding Disaster

This is what happens when you pay attention to your blog and not your kid. Roll over pictures to read the captions.

Smashed Finger

I officially feel like a horrible Mom today!! I managed to smash Emma's finger in one of the bathroom cupboards. It was awful!! She was crying, I was crying...disaster! Poor little girl!! The offended finger is the left middle. I don't think it's anything too serious because she only cried for a few minutes. It's terribly black and purple though, on both sides. This picture doesn't do it justice.

Temple Square Picnic and Birthday Surprise

Temple Square Picnic

As soon as we got home from church, Paul started cleaning. I couldn't figure out why so I asked him. He gave me some lame reason, but I didn't really care - he was cleaning the house! Well, all of a sudden he told me to go put some shoes on and get into the car. It was very exciting! He had secretly prepared a picnic for us and then took me to Temple Square. He doesn't usually do this kind of thing. I thought it was very romantic and well thought out! We had a wonderful time and the weather was gorgeous! Emma was so happy, but she still wouldn't walk on the grass. It was a wonderful birthday surprise!

Surprise!
The real surprise didn't come till we got home though. There were tons of people hiding in our house!! Everyone shouted "surprise" as I walked into the living room. Unfortunately I was holding Emma and she started to cry. It was really funny but sad at the same time. Poor little girl! It was such an awesome surprise though!! Everyone parked far away so there were no cars to give me a clue. Somehow I managed to walk past the food set on the table without really thinking about it. What a goober! The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have Mom, Dad, and Jarom there too. There are just some things about life that always bite! It was the best birthday surprise I have ever had! Thank you to all my fabulous friends and family, I love you guys!!

Birthday Flowers
Paul gave me flowers at 1:00 am when he got home from work the night of my birthday. They are gorgeous white roses! My friend Jen brought me these beautiful tulips. They are so pretty on the table. I found these purple flowers growing outside by the back patio. I have no idea what they are but they smell so good! 10 points to anyone who can tell me what they are. A challenge for Uncle Brent! hahaha Actually, it's probably not! I've enjoyed them all week, thank you Paul and Jen!! I love them!
Birthday Cake by Bryndee
Bryndee made me the most delicious cake for my surprise party! It was layers of cake and real strawberries with homemade whipped cream. Pretty darn tasty!! I think Paul could only find 7 candles in the drawer. That was probably a good thing, he might have burned down the house with 25!
